Gastric Bypass...Do the Side Effects of Flatulence Weigh You Down?

Gastric bypass patients are not told upfront about a side-effect of their surgery, excessive smelly intestinal gas. This prevents them from becoming social and enjoying life so they are desperate to find a solution. Flat-D Innovations makes the Flatulence Deodorizer pad so they can regain their desired quality of life.
Cedar Rapids, IA February 20, 2008 -- Gastric bypass patients are not being advised of a side-effect of their surgery that will affect them for the rest of their lives. This unpublicized side effect is excessive smelly flatulence. Flat-D Innovations has developed a proven effective solution that removes odor from intestinal gas called the Flatulence Deodorizer.
Gastric bypass surgery is becoming one of the most sought after procedures for obese individuals (over 100,000 last year). This surgery helps individuals regain their self-esteem, confidence and health, by allowing them to reduce their weight. People going through this surgery expect to become socially acceptable. After their surgery they find this side effect to be rather embarrassing and it prevents them from going out in public.
Brian Conant, President of Flat-D Innovations, Inc says, "Our product called 'The Flatulence Deodorizer' is a pad made of activated charcoal cloth. The pad is placed in the underwear, in a similar fashion to a panty liner. When intestinal gas passes thru the cloth pad, the odor is neutralized. Our product has helped thousands of people worldwide and has gained recognition among the medical community."
Testimonial: "You have changed my life! I had gastric bypass surgery about 9 months ago and have awful gas. There is nothing I can take (Beano - Gas-X, etc) that works. I have tried being very careful with what I eat (and I don't eat much!) My coworkers have been pretty nice about it for the most part, but I know it was hard to work in a small office with someone like me. I never went anywhere without a bottle of air freshener. My family complained all the time and I know I was an embarrassment to them. I sat at home in a room by myself a lot. In social situations, I would have to leave and find someplace to hide and pass gas. Fine if it's a public restroom, but not so discreet if you're in someone else's home. Then I ordered your product. Just one weekend of using your product and I am no longer a social pariah! There's no point in trying to be delicate about a problem like this. I'm at work and my colleagues are laughing with me, not running away! I can ride in the car with my family and keep the windows up! It's absolutely amazing. A bonus is the protection it also provides against feminine odor. I'm a new person and can walk free and confident in public now without fear of embarrassment. THANK YOU!!!"D.M. Seattle, WA
It is understandable why many post surgery patients will have highly malodorous flatus. A gastric bypass patient's system won't absorb the food and nutrients as well because their stomach is shortened. When the undigested food passes the stomach and gets down to the colon, the enzymes and bacteria there absorb the excess nutrients and the result is that they create excessive intestinal gas. Most bariatric surgery patients are experiencing this side effect and are desperate for a solution to eliminate the embarrassment associated with the odor.

To be honest i think Flat-D and Under Ease products are unattractive and personally the very sight of them is enough to put me off. I can understand that it's more to do with the function and not so much style but i would be so self conscious wearing them.

There is a company in England that have developed the best flatulence filtering underwear there is and has used the best technical fabric available (100% activated carbon jersey) to successfully filter out any bad odours.'Shreddies' look great! You cant even tell that they are flatulence filtering underpants compared to Flat-D that are hugely obvious.

Check them out, just type 'My Shreddies' into the search engine and you'll find the site. You will be relieved to find out that there is something other than Flat-D/ Under Ease products!
